Kuheli’s Journey
It all started from when Kuheli walked into a bookstore and picked up two books on baking in 1998. Little did she realise that that would be the turning point of her life. After her initial trials at baking and making cakes for friends and relatives, she started baking on request from friends for special occasions. Gradually everyone prodded Kuheli to pursue her talent professionally. She started Delish Bakery about five years back and has specialised in almost every confectionery item.
Kuheli’s home bakery has become a popular reach out for those with a sweet tooth and loves to try out the varieties of confectionery items that feature in her spread. Besides, she also runs a home kitchen that offers some great sweet and savoury Bengali items.
Her professional journey
Kuheli’s professional journey as a confectioner has brought a lot of faith and loyal customers who now can think of no other baker.
The Covid-19 pandemic has actually increased her client base as more and more people are ordering from home bakeries. “I use good quality ingredients and therefore customers trust my products,” said Kuheli.
From customised celebration cakes to tea cakes, scones, French entremets, a variety of breads, cookies and macaroons all these and more are in Kuheli’s menu. The rates are competitive as the price of a cake starts from Rs 500 for a pound.
Customised and theme-based celebration cakes are quite a delight at Delish Bakery as the décor of each of the cakes makes them a treat for the eyes as well.

In winter Delish Bakery is flooded with orders for its speciality fusion cakes. Some of Kuheli’s popular creations include Nalen Gur Rasamalai Cake and Belgian Chocolate Orange cake that are specialities of the season.
Come summer and the demand goes up for Belgian Chocolate Mango cake, a derivative of the orange cake made with Alphonso mangoes.
Among savouries, Kuheli’s special stuffed bun and scones are also quite popular among her customers. While she does not have her own website, Kuheli maintains a Facebook page where customers find all the items that she is making.

Kuhelir Rannaghor is a popular home kitchen that again has a spread of fingerlicking items that Kuheli has innovated. Some of her special items include ChannarPatisapta, Macher Kochuri, Keema Patisapta, BhapaMurgi, Kheer paan.
