The Tripura Start-up Week will be inaugurated at 12 pm on 5 July in virtual mode by Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister for Communications, Electronics & Information Technology and Law & Justice in presence of Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb. Spare a few minutes to know more about it….
Purpose of the start-up week
“The main purpose of this initiative is to make Tripura one of the top IT/ITES Start-up destinations in the North East. We want to create support eco systems for start-ups, encourage youths of our state to become entrepreneurs and extensively promote the IT Start-up Scheme.”
“During the Tripura Start-up Week a series of programmes will be organized for awareness among the students of Technical Institutions and Degree Colleges. Also, Start-up Companies of the states will be linked with suitable mentors and angel investors for expansion of their business,” Dr Naresh Babu, director Information Technology told chalgenius.com.
Programmes planned for the inaugural day
A host of inaugurals and signing of agreements have been planned on the inaugural day of the Tripura Start-up Week.
Inauguration of Tripura IT/ITeS Start-up Portal: For convenience of the Start-ups, dedicated portals have been developed for registration of the Start-ups and to avail incentives under the Tripura IT Start-up scheme. To disseminate information the portal will also contain all the information related to IT Start-up.
Unveiling of Start-up Logo: For promotion activities, branding of the scheme is very important. An attractive logo is one of the important components for branding the scheme. Accordingly, one logo has been finalized through online competition and same would be unveiled during the inauguration.
Startup incubation centre
On the occasion of the Tripura Start-up week, eligibility certificates may be distributed to the approved Start-ups.
Inauguration of Start-up Products: Some of the Start-ups products are ready for preliminary use. Same may be inaugurated and showcased on the occasion.
Start-up Incubation Centre: Dedicated Start-up Incubation Centre at STP-Indranagar would be inaugurated at the occasion.
Signing of MoU with NASSCOM
Signing of MoU with NASSCOM and STPI: It has been proposed that an MoU would be signed with NASSCOM for promotion activities and STPI for incubation of the Start-ups during inauguration of Tripura Start-up week.
Joining at the inaugural programme
The programme is being organised by the Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura. The weblink will be available at http://tripura.gov.in and startup.tripura.gov.in.
