Two young entrepreneurs from West Bengal are making their state proud with their innovative architectural start-up

Young pass outs dreaming big

Ayan Roy and. Soumyodeep Das, both under 30, who passed out from IIEST Shibpur in 2017 are changing the ways how buildings are made and designed. They are replacing the traditional brick and mortar structures with steel which is durable and has strong strength.

Bridging the gap

Their company VBRIDGE has already made its mark with with prestigious projects like 3D railing illusion art at New Town, covid street (both in Kolkata) art initiative at Konnagar and Model village at Jaugram, that have won them local, national and international awards and accolades.

Apart, the company has also played a commendable role during Covid and has build covid hospital using their technology.

“We are replacing cement and bricks with fibre cement boards and light gauge steel. It not only reduces the production cost by a huge percent but the technology is also environment friendly. We have already built a space of around 6 lakh sq ft in 17 states of India,” said Ayan sounding visibly happy over the achievement.

But this is not all. The start-up is now all set to create another massive ripple by getting the design credentials of Paro airport, Bhutan.

Future goals

“VBRIDGE will focus more on research and development in each and every assignment in future, be it advanced technology in construction or community development projects. The core idea of VBRIDGE has always been ‘believing in youth’ and we will follow the same line in future with mentors from the industry, and thrive for unique ideas and implementation,” pointed out Soumyodeep.

“Investments in scaling up the business as well as creating a conglomerate where design enthusiasts from all over the world can join hands will continue to grow. We also wish to connect with more B2B and B2G clients in times to come, maintaining our timeline and quality of work alongside.’’

VIVACE (VBRIDGE’s Integrated Vision, Architecture, Conclave and Exhibition) in its first edition announced and celebrated this international project as a huge milestone in the start-up’s journey. The event held recently in Kolkata was attended by dignitaries by several walks of life,

About the company

The name of the start-up was derived from We BRIDGE the gap, which turned WeBRIDGE and eventually to VBRIDGE. Team VBRIDGE started with a motto to BRIDGE the gap between the architects and the society, the professionals, the clients, the users, the students and thus the community with the design world.

The vision of VBRIDGE is to eventually bring all types of design under a single roof.

Within just 4 years of official operation, VBRIDGE presently is the official design partner of several corporate giants and also is taking major design steps with several Government bodies and Non-profit organizations. The main powerhouse, as believed within the team, is the strength of youth and the mentorship from top level industry experts.
