Running two successful start-ups

Meet Adarsh Prakash Srivastava and Ritika Rai from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. The duo is teenagers and second year B.Tech students. Apart from studies, both are running two successful start-ups, SnarWeb and SnarCoachings. On an average, they record a monthly turnover of around Rs 4 lakhs.

How the journey began?

Adarsh and Ritika both know each other since childhood days. They are not only neighbours but also good friends. They are also studying in the same college. Both had a fascination towards start-ups and got easily attracted towards any innovative idea. Adarsh says that SnarWeb was started last year after one of his relatives approached him to build an e-commerce website.

Got the idea to launch a start-up

“It was September 2019 one of my relative who had a home décor store asked me if I could develop an e-commerce website. Despite having no knowledge about it, I replied in affirmative. I hired an online builder to develop the website and it went off well. It was then I decided to come with a start-up that would provide web development, android development and digital marking among host of others,” he told Chalgenius.

What is SNAR

The name of the start-up SnarWeb was derived on the name of his parents-Satya(his father’s name), Nivedita(his mother’s name), Adarsh and Alkesh(his brother) and Ritika(the co-founder).
“We got our second project in November 2019 and it boosted our confidence to take it further. My studies also suffered because of the complete focus on the start-ups but still I was happy because we were getting good clients,” Ritika told Chalgenius.

SnarCoachings launched in 2020

In February 2020, the duo launched SnarCoachings, their second start-up for providing web development course like web, android and python “We faced a lot of criticism for this in our college. Students tried to discourage but we were determined to do something. We hired a new team to teach web development and in the very first batch we taught 16+ students and 95% plus students gave good views of our classes. We are offering online training during Covid 19 and classes are run live and not recorded,” Adarsh told Chalgenius.

Over 50 member team

The teenagers have been running the star-ups with 50 staff members and have monthly revenue of Rs 4 lakhs.
