Established TROS in 2017
Shakir has established his company TROS Online Shopping Private Limited in January 2017 which is a Start Up India and MSME registered firm.
TROS is aiming at empowering FMCG and Household industry’s manufacturers by aiding them with an opportunity to penetrate the mainstream retail market quickly, successfully and cost effectively.
Company run by brothers
The company is run by Shakir and his two brothers, Nadeem and Ahmed who are founders of TROS. They all are in the age bracket of 30 – 40 years.
Atma Nirbhar Bharat
The trio assert that Atma Nirbhar Bharat will only be a reality if there is someone who can actually help a manufacturer take their products to end users quickly and cost effectively, he believes. “Clients working with us are happy and they are on the path to close down their distribution contract with distributors and want to work with our concept which gives them more power and control on their brand.”
Helping manufactures to get wider reach
Shakir informs that TROS helps FMCG manufacturers to avoid distributors and start taking the solutions of TROS which helps the former to get the unprecedented penetration in the market at economical cost.
“As an instance, if a Petha producer takes the help of distributors, he would only be given slight attention just to get the penetration in the market. The distributors work only 10% and leave the rest of the work like marketing and sales to the manufacturer but it is not the case with TROS which conducts detailed research for their clients to understand where their products can have the best sales. Distributors ask for deep margins but TROS does not,” he explains.
Why TROS?
Nadeem told Chalgenius every year more than 76% of new products/brands fail within the first year of their launch because of poor penetration.
He says it is very difficult for any manufacturer to penetrate the market given that India has a Multi Layered Distribution Network which makes it difficult for new brands to access the market quickly.
In the current scenario, the super stockists/distributor holds the key for a success or failure of any product and the TROS is empowering manufacturers by giving them the opportunity to control their brand and get access to the retail market quickly and successfully, he told Chalgenius
Helping brands to succeed
Ahmed told Chalgenius that he wants a manufacturer to concentrate in their domain which is product development, R&D, innovation and leave their sales and marketing with TROS. “We assure that if the product is good and it is market fit the product will not face a penetration problem and at TROS we support brands at every level and work as their in-house marketing team,” Shakir says.
He explains that before launching any new product of a manufacturer in the market, TROS checks all government’s approvals to ensure the product is fit for consumption and is of high quality.
