Three friends who were foodies and music lovers in Kolkata decided to bring their passion into a common platform. They thought what could be a better option than to start a restaurant where people can get the taste of good food along with soothing music. The trio took no time in turning their passion into profession by finally coming up with an air-conditioned eatery in New town, the upscale suburb of Kolkata. One Sip restro cafe launched in 2018 has started to hit the right note by becoming the most sought after destination for music and food lovers where people can get the best of both the worlds. Built on the theme of music, it has tables made from drums (dhaks), piano shaped floor for live performances, walls adorning the portraits of well-known music composers and singers. Music has its imprint in the form of images and its accessories in the entire restaurant. It also has live performances on every Friday nights.
The 150-seater restaurant serves Indian, continental and Chinese among other delicious cuisines. It also has a minibar and serves hard drinks.
Ishita Sadhukhan, one of the three founders is a psychologist while the other two are software engineers. She says that it was the obsession for good food and music that made her to start the food joint along her two friends. Within a short span the restaurant has become popular and has been attracting a sizeable number of visitors.
