With roots going back to over 40 years, Antara Jewels was the brainchild of Ulhas Vallabhji Gala. It was set up in 2006 and is operating under the iconic umbrella of Vallabhji Malsi and Co. (VMC) ~ a leading jewellery export house of India.
Antara boasts of a whopping 70,000 followers on Instagram featuring on the top and is one of the country’s most sought-after jewellery brands. It is operating out of two state-of-the-art showrooms in diversified markets of Dadar and Borivali in Mumbai. The promoters strongly believe in constant innovation and have been pioneers in setting trends. It brings a history of trust, quality, customer satisfaction and recognition.
A major contributor
The marketing and development division of Antara Jewels got the needed boost in 2017 after Tejas Nagda joined the organisation. A complete fresher in the industry at that time, Tejas started small with digital marketing initiatives and optimised operations with the help of processes and technology. His biggest challenge was to create awareness but without offering any marketing gimmicks. Coming from a background of gold exports, Tejas used to assist his father, Bharat Nagda, who has been a partner at VMC for about 30 years.
The promoters strongly believe in constant innovation and have been pioneers in setting trends. Antara believes in 100 per cent transparency. The unique designs are crafted by experts featuring the best quality diamonds certified by EGL and IGI labs and all Antara jewellery is 100 per cent hallmarked as per BIS Standards. In 2014, a piece of jewellery was featured at the Oscars. In October 2019, VMC received an award for the highest exporter of 2018 from Piyush Goyal, the Union Minister of Railways and Commerce.
Antara plans to widen consumer base features not just via online medium but with brick-and-mortar outlets as well. “We are definitely looking at opening more stores, serving a wider geography to make jewellery shopping experience transparent and promote gold as an investment alternative,” said Ankit.
