Vehicle breakdown on roads makes drivers helpless
It is a common problem for people driving with their vehicles to face a breakdown in the middle of the road. The situation becomes hellish when the technical snag is on a deserted stretch where there is no mechanic. At that moment, safety is also becomes a priority.
Start-up finds a solution
A start-up at Bhubaneswar in Odisha has come out with a solution for vehicle breakdown, particularly for two-wheelers on roads. It is offering mechanics on roads for repairing of two-wheelers, “We realised that people often face severe problems if vehicle breakdown on road. Sometimes, the mechanic is not available and the vehicle has to be dragged for long distance. We decided to find a solution to it,” told Deepak to Chalgenius.
Qichex launched in Bhubaneswar
Started on 10 February, this year, Qichex offers mechanic on spot for two-wheeler breakdown on roads in Bhubaneswar. Qichex has been founded by Deepak Pradhan and Hrudananda Sarangi. The two founders are B.Tech engineers in their mid-20s.
“We have already made a tie-up with seven garage services in Bhubaneswar. The nearest one reaches to the spot where the vehicle requires it,” he added.
Hrudananda says that the bookings for the mechanics can be made through website or also phone calls, “The payment can be made online and on the spot to mechanic. We charge 25 percent of the transaction. Our focus is quality service at affordable price. We have served 165 customers till the lockdown halted our business.”
Subscription model also available
Besides, Qichex is also offering services on subscription model. The start-up charges Rs 111 for 3 months and offer free puncture repairing, free service except for accessories and waive-off fifty percent of the charges an engine repair. We are also planning to start the service in Cuttack and Puri,” said Hrudananda to Chalgenius.
