Orientation Programme
Atal Incubation Centre – Sri Krishnadevaraya University (AIC – SKU) had organized Mahila Abhyudaya , an orientation programme on entrepreneurship to women on Women Centric Incubation Programme at S.V.Degree and PG college, Anantapur last month.
Event on Women entrepreneurship
AIC-SKU had invited all interested women in the region to attend this programme on entrepreneurship for young ladies from rural ecosystem to understand, Business Opportunities in the region, funding opportunities, hand-holding support by AIC-SKU to women entrepreneurs and key facilities & services from AIC-SKU.
60 women participants
Over 60 women from the region had attended the programme and received the oriented session. Event started with an introduction from Shaheen, women entrepreneur, supported by AIC-SKU and she provided the glimpse of the orientation programme and handed over to Dr. Shivakiran.
He explained the importance of innovations in businesses that are women centric and sensitive with illustrations in the core domains of food processing, baking, coffee & dairy and handed over to Dr. Chandra Mouli, He provided the progress of AIC-SKU and supported provided to the startups so far.
Key activities
Dr. Shivakiran has given the glimpse of the follow-up 45 days training programme and hand holding incubation support for a period of 24 months. The key activities of the programme were sensitization, Hands-on-training, Technical training and Financial Training, Market Research, Project Profiling, Compliances, Marketing and Branding, Investment and Scale of Business.
Financial independence for women
The key outcomes of the programme are Knowledge and opportunity exposure to the girls, financial independence and social inclusion, self-esteem as a spin-off of building self-employment, creating jobs to fellow girls in the village, Economic development in the region, Mitigation of talent migration to urban towns among others.
