Two enthusiasts from Kolkata have helped over 10,000 students in the last one decade to pursue their dreams of studying abroad by providing unbiased and genuine career guidance.
The beginning
After completing his education, Michael Wharton found that there was no proper avenue from where he could receive information about academic opportunities abroad. “I studied in premier institutes like St Xavier’s College and IIT Madras but nobody could guide me when it came to getting information about foreign institutes and new opportunities,” Kolkata-based 33-year-old Michael told chalgenius.com.
“There was no institute that could guide me with genuine information. Soon I realized that it was a problem which students like me face every year. I always wanted to run an organization and the problem that I faced helped me with the solution. In 2011, I set up EduAims along with my friend, Sadi Ahmed, who too had studied in premiere institutes and was facing similar problems.”
What is EduAims?
EduAims provides GMAT, GRE, SAT, ACT, IELTS and TOEFL coaching, tutorials along with counselling and career planning for overseas education and admissions.

The services provided at EduAims include Career Planning, Psychometric Tests, Career Development, Study Abroad Counselling, Complete Application Processing, College Essay Guidance, SOP Assistance, Visa application Processing, Scholarship and Financial Aid assistance, and Test preparation services for SAT/GRE/GMAT/IELTS and TOEFL.
How is EduAims different from others?
“Majority of such institutes have tied up with foreign colleges and guide students accordingly. But we don’t act as any representative agent. We guide students based on their capability. Along with helping them in academics, we even guide in accommodation facilities,” said Michael.

Since 2011, EduAims has helped more than 10,000 students to pursue their dream institute abroad. Headquartered in Ballygunge Circular Road in Kolkata, the company runs both online and offline classes though all classes are being offered in virtual mode since the pandemic set in. The company’s second office is in Dubai from where it caters to the students of Middle East countries. “We have students of classes 11-12 pursuing bachelor programs abroad or graduates who want to pursue masters courses at foreign universities while there are some working professions. Our students have secured admission at premiere institutes like Stanford, Harvard and Oxford while there are many who bagged 100 percent scholarships,” added Michael.
