The journey

Sayantan Saha wants to offer affordable healthcare services to people, especially who find it difficult to afford, through his company Medera Global.
Saha is the founder and his father is a board member in Medera Global.

Saha founded Medera Global on December 08, 2016 which is mainly into two verticals, one is Healthcare Technology and the other one is Life-Sciences.
In healthcare technology, Medera Global deals into Bio-Informatics, Consulting, Cutting edge technology development and products. In Life-Sciences segment Saha is piloting some services and soon full-fledged services would be rolled out too.

Create a centralized ecosystem

He told Chalgenius that the motivation behind starting Medera Global was to create a centralised ecosystem where everyone can bear medical expenses and avail healthcare needs. He aspires to cater to the last mile person.
“Healthcare segment need many modifications and it is scattered in our country so, I thought let’s start something to solve the issues one by one. Another reason was the death of my grandfather due to lung cancer,” Saha told Chalgenius.
“I was very close to him and that triggered me to start something over Biotech. I was just 14 when I lost him and I decided to try in the healthcare domain. It also inspired me to do it for everyone so that they can safeguard their loved ones. Due to my strange daily routine I have to visit doctors several times. I saw several gaps in it and want to find a solution,” he added.

He is B-Tech in computer science engineering and MBA in finance. He is a third generation entrepreneur in his family. He has been into entrepreneurship from his third year of his engineering. Medera Global is his third startup.

He says his specialty is that they are different in many aspects. He attributes, core tenets, pricing structure, and handheld support, customer centric approach, constant innovations, as reasons behind his success.

“Enterprises should opt for our products/services because of the core tenets, that we operate in LEAN model and we provide the best.” he adds.

Medera Global got first prize as an emerging healthcare tech company from North East India by judge’s assessment, conducted Ne8X accelerator and consortium. Government of India’s ministry of commerce and industry recognised Medera as a start-up and its products. Last year December Medera Healthcare UK got incorporated and now it is in UK, working to grab a decent market share there. Saha is planning to start offices in the Middle-East starting from Dubai.

Every sector got hit by the pandemic but the healthcare industry is in a good shape as of now, he says.

Future plans

Saha says in the next three year down the line, Medera Global will be a full-fledged healthcare company with many verticals.
