Witnessing the problems faced by his two kids to continue their studies during Covid pandemic, Shyam Singh has come up with an innovative learning platform ~ SnapLearn ~ in March that has 250 registered users till now. The beginning
For Kolkata based Shyam Singh (38) Covid opened up a new avenue. “My children faced immense difficulties in pursuing studies with the onset of the pandemic. The same was true for the children of my relatives. Students form groups on WhatsApp for studying. But this is not a convenient way as often notes get deleted,” Shyam told chalgenius.com who launched SnapLearn along with Richa Mishra in March.
“Although online classes are held all over the country, there is no way in which students can get their doubts cleared immediately. This is what troubled me and I wanted to devise a platform that will cater to the doubts in many languages while respecting privacy,”

What is it’s about
It is the first such education platform in the world that will offer assistance to do homework, search tutor, clear doubts and help in giving solutions to problems on WhatsApp for school students in 13 languages. Million of students and tutors can join, teach, share and learn without compromising their privacy, conflicting interest or disturbing learning/ teaching of any other user on a single WhatsApp number. The startup has been incubated at NASSCOM, Kolkata.
It is helpful for tutors
Tutors can reach to millions of students within fraction of seconds. Tutor can show demo classes, take live sessions, provide tuition and earn regular income. In fact they can solve problems of students and connect with them instantly.

How to go about?
One needs to WhatsApp ‘Hi’ on 9088864888 . Tutors will have to sign up in the chatbox of if one is already registered then he/she will be able to assess it. Tutors have to search questions by class, language and subject. He/she will have to select a question and then upload an answer. Text, image, video or hyperlink of a question can be shared with students. There is also an option for live chat with other tutors.
Keypad free learning
It is keypad free learning and students can take images of their question written in any language. Thus it is beneficial for vernacular students. Students can also take an image of a question that contains symbols that are hard to type and upload on WhatsApp. Answers will appear within a few seconds.
