Namrata Goenka was a former lawyer who later chose to be a stay-at-home parent for her son. Spending a lot of time at home and having the urge to do something productive with the terrace area she had, she decided to grow her own vegetables for daily consumption purposes. However, her interest to do something out of the asset she had, never stopped and hence, she decided to attend a course at the IIHR on spawn cultivation. Namrata decided to cultivate mushrooms on her terrace area and she was able to start her own venture named Green Apron where she grows approximately 100 bags of mushrooms.

2. Menaka Thilak Raj

She is the founder of Aswat Eco Organics, a company that produces organic and traditional varieties of rice that have been lost long ago due to the introduction of affordable imported products. It all started when Menaka’s journey of embracing motherhood began with the first of her first child. The search for good quality and organic rice and cereals ended in the foundation of the company.

3. Patricia Narayan

When necessity brings out the power to turn a passion into a reality, people come up stronger and better in every aspect. Patricia’s story is the same. Going through a really hard time at a young age compelled her to work hard on her passion for cooking and ultimately the dream to stand independent became true. She started her own restaurant where she earns up to 20 lakh rupees a day.

4. Nisha Madhulika

A renowned social media creator, Nisha Madhulika is known for her vlogging channel on YouTube. She has over 6.5 million subscribers on her YouTube channel along with a huge fan following on her other social media accounts.
