Meet Ms. Aneesha Jyoti, an astonishing app developer, and mompreneur. She is the founder of Language Curry, a language-learning platform.

What is Language Curry?

Language Curry is a platform that helps you expand your linguistic knowledge and comes in handy for those who wish to visit India one day or sooner.

The platform provides a gamified interface that influences people to explore more about India by learning the different languages used in the country. In a diverse country like India, language is one factor that helps you connect with the locals in a much more proper manner and allows you to explore the place better, and hence, Ms. Aneesha along with her partner Ms. Vatsala Sharma decided to come up with a platform that helps people learn local languages with ease.

Now the platform has over 2 million downloads since its release and is working actively in over 170 countries. The users have access to vocabulary flashcards and live learning sessions for better learning. You also get multimedia support and assessments to check your learning process.

About Ms. Aneesha Jyoti

As for Ms. Aneesha Jyoti, she is a non-resident Indian living in Gujarat, India. When she moved to Gujarat, she was unable to communicate efficiently with the locals and she also failed her Gujarat language tests. This situation influenced her to build a language-learning platform for people who wish to travel to the country or want to learn the local languages.

However, the journey seemed harder as she proceeded to build a career as an app developer. She faced many denials from stakeholders since they thought her commitment to the app is not solid and her skills would go nowhere. She also had to deal with the existing stigmas concerning a woman’s lifestyle in India.

Nevertheless, Aneesha and Vatsala continued to work for their passion and shortly were able to launch the platform. Language Curry is now one of the top language-learning platforms across the Internet.

The journey to overcome internalized misogynistic attitudes and barriers of society was indeed hurtful but turned out to be the best decision for Aneesha. Resisting the biases in the professional ecosystem and unconventional opinions from society was all worth it to build the career that she chose.
