Chalo India, the travel start-up based in Guwahati arranges your travel as per your budget. The start-up was founded by Prasurjya Talukdar and Prantika Sarma in January 2018. Both the founders are in early 20s.
Visits offers to only those placed already covered by owners
It has a unique concept because the founders have themselves travelled to 90 percent of the three countries-India, Nepal and Bhutan-before starting the company. They offer people a trip to only those places in these three countries where they are aware about the budget and other charges of accommodation, “We offer tours and travels to only those places where we have already visited and know the budget involved in travelling, accommodation and food. We provide complete budget travelling and back packing tracks to the customers. We do not offer trip to places where we have not visited. We provide livelihood to locals by making them as our guides,” said Prasurjya to Chalgenius.
Solved the issue of hidden charges
He told Chalgenius that Chalo India ensures that the trip remains within the budget of the customer, “We have solved the major problem of inappropriate details and hidden charges taken by the travel company that are not told to customers in advance. It adds an increased burden on the budget of the travellers. We give detailed information about the tracks and courses to the travellers by providing local guides. We also give range of itineraries of single place and provide people entire details of adventure activities in the tour so that you can plan your budget accordingly,” said Prantika to Chalgenius.
