The endeavour to bring shared economy in practice by giving customers a cost-effective commute, paved the way for GoBunc ride sharing service.
Kunal Sandeep, an engineer with interest in robotics, founded GoBunc Technologies Pvt. Ltd in 2019 in Bengaluru. “The uniqueness of our solution lies in the fact that we don’t own any inventory and empower the users to share the cost and save money,” he says.
Aiming to address the daily problem of commuters, swelling traffic congestions and rise in vehicles on the roads of India is the impetus behind this app-based cab sharing service. From an environmentally sustainable perspective the GoBunc model intends to curb pollution and traffic congestion with its concept.
The app encourages commuters to use the ride and share method to commute. Customers need to download the GoBunc mobile application and find, match and connect with users travelling on the same route. The app-based platform provides ride sharing facility in car, taxi, autorickshaw and bike to passengers headed in the same direction or destination. There has been 35,000 downloads since inception
Why GoBunc?
On other platforms the customer pays per km for sharing a ride and at GoBunc the user has to pay a minimal INR 5-8 to find a successful ride which saves 50 percent of their usual travel time.
