Testing times for the society

During this COVID – 19 pandemic, every single person is trying to help the community with the best possible resources that they have.
But there are some individuals, who have always gone beyond their limits and stretched their hands towards the service of mankind.

Social activist and an entrepreneur

One such name is Namita Nayak. She is a women entrepreneur and a social activist from Kolkata West Bengal.
Namita has been working as a social activist since 2014. She has been supporting a village and providing the women of the area hygiene materials like soap, shampoo, sanitary pads, getting the colonies sanitized and conducting various types of training and get together programs with the people of the village.
She has also conducted events where free books and stationery and education support were provided to the meritorious and needy students.

Sold her car for Covid patients

But recently, she sold a car and used those funds to help the people who were in need of food, medicines and have also provided COVID vaccination assistance to those who could not afford it.

When we asked her about her car, the reply was really inspiring. She said “I already have two cars and right now the market situation is such that we do not need to travel so much and most of the works are getting done from home. I thought that the way my car has helped me for so long should now provide benefit to my people who are in need at this pandemic.
And as a human being it’s our moral duty to give back this society and community when they are in need. It’s a universal law and every individual should come forward and support the society with whatever they can. Even a small bowl of rice can become a meal for the needy at this point of time.”

Runs a non-profit

She also runs a foundation named Young Atmanirbhar Foundation and this NGO is basically working in health and education sector.
She said that Swami Vivekananda’s Life journey, struggles and achievements have always motivated her. Also, she considers Mr. Ravindra Chamaria, Chairman – Infinity IT park group as her mentor and like her father figure who has always done so so much for the people across the globe.
