Travelled in various countries

Aparna Singh has had a long and succesful journey. She has been the founder of start-ups while staying abroad due to the job requirements of her husband. Despite being a successful woman entrepreneur she was not completely satisfied with her ventures and felt a sense of hollowness in her heart.

Launched different start-ups

Aparna who hails from Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh finally got her passion with beauty and wellness culture after she settled in India, “I have launched start-ups from fashion and jewellery to travel and tourism while I was living abroad but a something was missing inside. I was not completely satisfied and was looking for something else that could satiate my passion,” said Aparna to Chalgenius.

Passionate towards nail art

Eventually, she found that nail art was becoming nail sensations during CES, Show in Las Vegas, in 2015, “The whole idea of nail salons helping female winners flashing their nails the moment they lifted their nails was intriguing. It was so thrilling that I decided to start something on my own in a similar niche. I started research and got to know about digital nail art printers,” says the woman entrepreneur with a smile on her face.

Launched Alpsho Ventures in 2017

Her passion towards digital nail art led to the launch of Alpsho Ventures in 2017 along with her sibling Aditya Singh. Both are the directors of the company. They are the Indian franchisee of global nail printer brand O2 nails, “We save time of women in visiting a manicurist. We keep portable nail printers to stimulate nail art consumption with just a tap. We provide best nail art designs of your choice in just 30 seconds,” said Aparna to Chalgenius. Most of the Bollywood celebrities like Rani Mukherjee, Ishita Raj Sharma and several television celebrities are their clients.

Coping up with Covid-19

Aditya says that they are the first to launch mobile app based appointment booking for giving peace of mind to nail enthusiasts based on their Geo location, “We are trying to reduce human interventions by 35-40 percent. We are maintaining social distance and hygiene. We are adhering to social distancing since the government had advised people to follow the norms.We are working on b2c models.”

Whopping turnover of Rs 4 crore

The company that started with a small investment made a turnover of Rs 4 crore during the fiscal year 2019-20. It has three stores in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Delhi. It plans to open 100 stores across the country in 2023.
