The Biggest Acting and Music Workshop 2021 will be held from 27 to 31 January and the timing is 10 am to 3 pm in Kolkata.
Leading actor and musicians to train aspiring candidates
Renowned acting trainer Abhijit Lahiri and music trainer Sanjay Vidyarthi would conduct the workshop.
Lahiri is acting trainer, advisory board member of GKFTII, NSD alumni, Bollywood Indian actor and groomer at CINTAA, Mumbai. Vidyarthi has trained several performers at musical shows telecast in television.

The workshop will groom participants in the fundamentals of acting, expressions and acting techniques. Along with this participants will be given an insight into the relationship between spoken text and expression and working on scene work.
Workshop details
The workshop will help in understanding the basic fundamentals of acting including the physical and mental preparations that enable you to successfully perform exercises and group work. An introduction would be given to Navarasa (nine emotions) in acting along with introduction to various acting techniques. There would be exercises based on expressions and how different expressions can change the meaning of a text. There would also scope for individual to showcase their acting skills. Finally, the workshop will conclude with a comprehensive question and answer session for participants wherein their queries and doubts will be addressed.
How beneficial it is?
“Such a workshop is being held for the first time in Kolkata. I will work on the finer details of acting and diction. Participants would be taught to understand and present the scripts, particularly monologues. The different techniques of acting would also be included in the workshop. I will also teach as to how emotions and expressions can be explored. During the five-day workshop we will play together and enjoy to the fullest,” said acting trainer Abhijit Lahiri.
Learning more than music
“The workshop is not restricted to giving lessons on music but it is much more. Participants would be taught the techniques of proper practice. We will work on voice culture as well. On the whole, we are aiming at grooming participants in such a manner that they are ready to perform,” said music trainer Sanjay Vidyarthi, who has groomed many artists at musical shows.
