A Golden opportunity by AFBIC IIT Kharagpur for startups looking for Grant-in-aid of upto 25 lakhs

RKVY-RAFTAAR Agri-Food Business Incubation Centre (AIFBIC), IIT Kharagpur has invited applications for its Cohort from West Bengal and its neighbouring states. Hurry! Opportunities for start-ups

There are ample opportunities for applicants as the Cohort will offer seed funding, access to inventors, lab to market support and business mentoring.

Grant-in-aid of Rs 25 lakhs

There are two programs. The Agri-Startup Incubation Programme will offer a grant-in-aid amounting to maximum Rs 25 lakh for selected candidates and scope for online mentorship. Next, the Agripreneurship Orientation Programme will provide hands on online training, grant-in-aid upto Rs 5 lakh for selected candidates along with online mentorship.
Agri-startup incubation Program, which is for expansion stage agri-startups will offer Grant-in-aid .Aop, which is for idea stage agri startups will offer Grant-in-aid.

More benefits

People who have agri-business ideas and need nurturing and support or are looking forward to scale up their agri-business start-up can apply. Participants will get additional benefits of access to laboratory facility and domain experts. Funding will depend upon merit of the project and performance.
The focus areas are IoT and AI based technologies, novel food products and technology, dairy and food processing, value added processing and waste to wealth, organic farming and supply chain management, solar based farm interventions, aquaculture based enterprises and rural technologies. Two month incubation

After receiving the applications, a committee would screen them. The selected applicants would undertake a 2-month incubation that will be done online this time. Then a final screening would be held,” Shalini Singh, assistant manager told Chalgenius.com.
