ISKCON seeks divine intervention to save humanity from coronavirus

As medical science continue to look for the antidote of coronavirus, ISKCON recently organized prayers seeking protection from God against the pandemic.

ISKCON seeks divine’s help

The coronovirus pandemic has forced human beings to offer prayers before the divine asking the almighty to wipe off the deadly virus.

The devotees of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Mayapur at Nadia district of Bengal organised prayers in the temple premise a few days ago to seeking its help to protect the humanity from the killer virus.

“Lord Narsimha has the power to save humanity”

The Narsimha Ashtakam World Peace Yagya was held in the temple campus in the early morning hours on 21 March, a day before the Janata curfew was observed across the country which was the starting of a complete lockdown.

“The main objective of organising this special Yagya was to pray to Lord Narsimha Dev for protecting the entire human race of the world from all types of pandemic virus and bestow peace in society,” said Alay Govind Das, Senior manager of ISKCON Mayapur.

“At a time when no medicine and sanitizers seem to curb the spread of the virus, only by taking shelter of Lord Narsimha Dev one can save himself from the attack of this virus” claimed Das.

Later Harinam Sankirtan (religious chants) was performed the devotees.

Religious organizations ask people to pray for mercy

Apart from ISKCON, several other religious organizations have asked its devotees to offer prayers in their homes seeking mercy from God to save them from the wrath of coronavirus.

Meanwhile, ISKCON has shut its temple headquarters in Mayapur in wake of coronavirus outbreak. The shutdown is likely to continue as per the government instructions; said Subroto Das head communications, ISKCON, Mayapur.
